Mozambique is positioned to achieve a substantial 70% reduction in imports, concurrently fostering increased demand for LPG within its borders.

Mozambique is set to produce 30,000 tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) annually from 2024, reducing imports by 70%. This aims to meet 70% of the country’s domestic needs, accompanied by a daily production of 4,000 barrels of light oil for export.
Demonstrating capability by filling over a million gas bottles monthly, Mozambique plans to provide 1.4 million small gas cylinders, including communal kitchens, by 2025. This visionary project, costing $100 million, will create economic opportunities throughout its value chain. As the project unfolds, Mozambique invites businesses and investors to contribute to its sustainable energy future and regional economic growth.
