WLPGA Asia Regional Summit – Bangladesh 2023, hosted by The World LPG Association, is the biggest gathering of LPG industry leaders from across the Asia region, who come together to discuss pressing issues affecting their businesses in today’s volatile economy.
The summit was held on 30 – 31 May 2023 at The International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka.

3rd West Africa LPG Expo – Ghana 2022
The 3rd West Africa LPG Expo – LPG Ghana 2022 is designed to create a platform for the local and international LPG community to gather, network, discuss on the various issues in West Africa and also create new business opportunities in the region.
Ghana is one of the faster-growing economies in Africa with GDP growth averaging more than 7% since 2017. It also has a huge population size of close to 30 million.
In 2018, LPG consumption reached 400,000MT and is expected to rise with the expected LPG penetration market rate of 46-55% by 2030 and import of LPG 1.1 million tonnes by 2024.

LPG Cambodia is brimming with growth opportunities in the LPG market with its annual consumption growth of 7-10%. Spurred by its strong economic growth over the last 5 years that World Bank estimates at 6.9% in 2017, Cambodia is expected to continue this trend for years to come.
With only 10% of its over 16 million population making the switch over to LPG, and the current unprecedented low prices of LPG, more household consumers are expected to convert to LPG from traditional fuels of cooking.
Besides domestic usage of LPG, Cambodia also has a sizable autogas market. With the ongoing economic boom, demand for fuels is growing rapidly in Cambodia. According to government estimates, vehicle growth in Cambodia stands at more than 10% per annum for the past 3 years
2nd West Africa LPG Expo & NLPGA Summit 2022
After the successful completion of the 1st West Africa LPG Nigeria Forum and Exhibition held at Eko Hotel, Lagos which attracted more than 600 participants over 2 days, the second edition of this event will be held at the Federal Palace Hotel.
The 2nd West Africa LPG Expo & NLPGA Summit 2022 is happening on 23rd – 24th June 2022 at the stunning Balmoral Exhibition Centre within the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos. Visitors are expected to attain momentous insight into the LPG market and network with more than 3,000 LPG professionals across the value chain.
South Asia LPG Expo 2020
India is now the world’s 2nd largest consumer of LPG for domestic cooking applications with annual volumes climbing up to nearly 25 million tonnes in 2018-19. LPG access in India has reached almost 80% of its population of around 1.2 billion. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), 80 million LPG connections will be provided to BPL families with a support of Rs.1600 per connection. PMUY is likely to result in an additional employment of around 1 Lakh and provide Immerse business opportunity for the LPG industry in India.
LPG West Africa 2019 Forum & Exhibition
With an estimated population of about 367 million, West Africa is the biggest population center in Africa. However, more than 80% of the population still relies on biomass for cooking. According to figures from Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the four major countries of Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal and Ivory Coast account for more than 85% of the total LPG consumption of 1.2 million tonnes consumed in the region.

LPG Myanmar 2018 Conference and Workshop
Recent moves by the Myanmar government to regulate the industry resulted in more than 700 companies already being awarded licenses with many more applications still pending approval. With a proper licensing system in place, the government is able to more effectively control and deal with any form of malpractices within the industry. This greatly helps to redirect more consumers to use LPG for cooking.
With both licensing and regulation in place, and a continual 20% growth in consumption in 2017, Myanmar’s LPG industry progresses with immense opportunities for all within the value chain. LPG Vietnam 2018 Conference and Workshop
Vietnam is one of the largest LPG markets in the region. According to statistics from PVGAS, current consumption stands at nearly 1.3 million tonnes per annum. Annual LPG consumption growth is also healthy at close to 10%.
Since the 90s, LPG has been growing at a rapid pace in the country with the forecast of consumption exceeding 2 million in the next 10 years.
Nevertheless, there remains significant challenges in the market to overcome for stable and sustainable growth to continue. In Oct 2017, the Ministry of Trade and Industry has asked relevant agencies and localities to strengthen management of LPG production and trading activities to ensure market stability.
