A Landmark Gathering for LPG Growth in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Sub-Saharan Africa LPG Expo 2026 has successfully concluded at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, bringing together 1,200 industry professionals and 37 exhibitors for two impactful days of meaningful dialogue, strategic collaboration, and industry advancement.

This year’s edition was marked by strong government participation, including the presence of Hon.Samantha Graham-Maré, Deputy Minister, whose engagement underscored the critical role of LPG in advancing clean cooking, expanding energy access, and supporting long-term sustainability across Sub-Saharan Africa. This commitment was further reflected across the exhibition floor through the active participation of key government agencies, including:

Delivered in partnership with Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association of South Africa (LPGSA), the Expo brought together stakeholders across the public and private sectors, strengthening collaboration and alignment across the LPG ecosystem.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our sponsors whose support played a key role in the success of the event:

We also recognize the support of  the Forward7 Initiative, who joined as the Clean Cooking Strategic Sponsor, further reinforced by the Forward7 Clean Cooking Private Sector Engagement Workshop, which convened 70 industry leaders to drive discussions on funding, partnerships, and scalable clean cooking solutions across the region.

Beyond the exhibition and conference sessions, the LPGSA Networking Cocktail – “Energy on the Rise” created a strong platform for connection, allowing industry leaders to engage, build relationships, and explore new opportunities.

From high-level policy discussions to business development and technical exchange, the Sub-Saharan Africa LPG Expo 2026 demonstrated strong industry momentum and the growing strategic importance of LPG in shaping a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
